Landslide?

Trump said on Meet the Press (6/7/26) that he won in a landslide. “Maybe the biggest landslide in history.”

Harris got 75 million votes and Trump got 77 million. That’s less than a 2% difference. Landslide? NOTHING he says can go unchallenged. His agenda is based on the things he says and that is why he berates the press as liars. They are the estate within our democracy that holds such claims accountable.

Trump is Trump. The Trump on Meet the Press is the Trump in the White House where staffers, cabinet members and Republicans in Congress who are scared of losing their jobs become sycophants who praise their master. That is what must be rooted from government; loyalists created from fear and became feckless posers. People like Vance, Rubio, Lutnick, RFK, Hegseth, Blanche, Patel, and more.

America needs to hit the reset button. That’s what many Americans did when they created the Trump myth, but it has been an epic failure. It failed because it is based on ideology born from fear. Fear of people who don’t fit their status quo, fear of people who come from elsewhere, fear of not pleasing the oligarchy.

America isn’t great again. It isn’t respected again. It isn’t FEARED again. Anecdotal evidence is supported by polls and statements from world leaders; America is needed as a bastion to protect hope as it was before. BEFORE TRUMP. America was strong because it didn’t submit to authoritarianism, because the people could hold their leaders accountable, because America has always risen from defeat to create a stronger realization of the magnitude of freedom.

America was lost due to the gradual erosion of its economic stability by siphoning, over decades, the income from labor in order to satisfy investments at the top. It created a false paradigm where it appeared that the unbridled success of investors created opportunities for the working class. But it didn’t. Prices rose as incomes faltered. Public services became new investment vehicles, while education and healthcare were turned into commodities for profit.

Time to rise from the ashes of Trump rants and tirades and to put his loyalists out to pasture. How? Vote. Donate to candidates who are talking about ending the oligarchic paradigm and who believe in the strength of diversity and justice for ALL.

And keep rallying the people in our spheres who believe that a great country is not created by fear but from the patriotism forged from character and wisdom.
