Don’t Vote Republican

Do You Believe in Democracy?

I understand being a lifelong Republican, because I was one for decades. It becomes part of your identity. But for this moment in history, please don’t vote for ANY Republicans in the 2026 midterm elections. A Republican vote for any candidate at any level is a vote to continue the cruelty, the hate, and the authoritarianism that has been unleashed by the Trump administration.

Think about his weaponization of the Justice Department to exact retribution on his political critics and opponents…we can’t trust our own system of justice anymore!  Think about the aggression and outright warfare he’s unleashed around the world…Canada! Greenland!  Denmark!  These were our allies!  Our relationship with Iran was stable and oil was flowing through the Strait of Hormuz until Trump started his latest war, and that’s driving up the price of everything, with no end in sight.  Now we're buying diesel from Russia and beef from Argentina.

Are YOU okay with all of this?

Every Republican in the US House and Senate is complicit, including Iowa’s “Silent Six”: Grassley, Ernst, Hinson, Miller-Meeks, Nunn, and Feenstra.  Please don’t give your okay to all of this by voting for ANY Republicans. That goes for every Republican candidate in Iowa as well. If you can’t bring yourself to vote for a Democrat, then please just stay home.

After two years of this, it’s no longer a partisan question; it’s, “Do you believe in democracy?  In America?”  We need all patriots in all parties to rally to the polls and send an unmistakable message… we’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it anymore!!!
